Description
Product Information
Product Full Identity:
Polyamide 66
Extruded Nylon 6.6 offers higher strength, stiffness and wear resistance compared to Nylon 6, with better creep resistance at a higher operating temperature (-30°C to +80°C). This material is food compliant.
Properties
- Higher mechanical strength, stiffness, heat and wear resistance than Nylon 6
- Machines and cuts better than Nylon 6
- Food compliant
Applications
- Gears
- Nuts
- Valve seats
- Bushes
- Electrical insulators
- Screws
- Bearings
- Gaskets
What is Nylon 6.6 rod?
The natural grade of Nylon 6.6 Rod is highly recognisable because of it's cream colour with the slightly darker skin. This slightly darker skin is acquired during the annealing process.
What is the difference between Nylon 6 & 6.6 Rod?
Because Nylon 6.6 is manufactured by an extrusion process only it means that the size range is more limited, particularly for larger sizes as it is too difficult for manufacturers to extrude large nylon rod.
Is Nylon 6.6 Rod suitable for food contact?
What are the operating temperatures for Nylon 66 Rod?
Nylon 6.6 Rod is slightly more expensive than Nylon 6, this is due to the polymer being slightly more expensive from the polymer producers.
Is black Nylon 66 Rod different to natural?
